Disorderly Conduct, Jan. 25

1st Ave., Powers, CCSO release – On January 23, 2019, at about 7:00 PM, a Coos County Sheriff’s Deputy was in the Powers area when a group of people were observed surrounding a male on the ground. When the Deputy investigated, it was learned there had been a bar fight in the tavern. The investigation revealed 37 year old Joshua Schroeder had been in the bar and a comment had been made regarding another patrons wife. When the patron protested the comment, Schroeder punched the man in the head. Schroeder was assisted out of the bar by other patrons as he continued to fight. While the Deputy was on scene, Schroeder continued to be belligerent, loud, threatening and confrontational. Schroeder was arrested after multiple warnings for Disorderly Conduct II. Schroeder was transported to the Coos County Jail where he provided a breath sample which showed him to have a BAC of .06%. The matter of the assault was investigated, however, none of the involved parties wished to follow through with the prosecution of the case and it was otherwise documented.
