News release from the Lincoln Co. Sheriff’s Office. On April 25th, 2014, deputies from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a disturbance at an apartment complex in the 4400 Block of North Highway 101 in Lincoln Beach. Callers to dispatch advised a man, armed with a knife and a baseball bat, was attempting to force entry another resident’s occupied apartment. Deputies arrived and detained the man while an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed 27 year-old Lincoln Beach resident Jason Andrew Estes forced entry into the apartment after stabbing the door several times with a knife and breaking out the windows with a baseball bat. Though Estes damaged several items inside the apartment after entering, the family was able to escape unharmed. Estes was treated by for minor injuries sustained during the incident before to being transported to the Lincoln County Jail. Estes was lodged on charges of attempted Assault in the First Degree, Burglary in the First Degree, Criminal Mischief in the First Degree, Menacing, and Disorderly Conduct in the Second Degree. His bail was set at $287,500.
