News release from the Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office. “On 02/23/2014 at about 1034 hours, Coos County Sheriff’s Deputy’s were dispatched to 92522 Cape Arago Highway, Coos Bay, Oregon for a report of a disturbance. Upon arriving they attempted to make contact at the residence of the disturbance but could not get any response. In attempting to investigate the reported disturbance Deputies learned that the adult female many times would lock her two young children out of the apartment causing other residents to have to take care of the children. Deputies were finally able to contact the mother of the children, 41 year old Susanna Mauck. Members from The Department of Human Services, Child Welfare Division were called and took custody of the children, a male age 7 and a female age 3. Susanna Muack was arrested for Child Neglect II and was transported to the Coos County Jail where she was booked and lodged in lieu of $10,000 bail.”
