The Coos Bay Public Library will be offering two DIY holiday gift events in December: one for children and one for teens and adults. Would your kids like to make homemade gifts for teachers or grandparents? Bring them to the DIY gift workshop in the Children’s Department at the Coos Bay Public Library on December 4th from 12:00-2:00. Handcrafted gifts include tie-dyed bookmarks, perler bead décor, beaded suncatchers, and more. A DIY gift workshop for teens and adults will be held in the Coos Bay Library’s Cedar Room December 11th from 2:00-4:00pm. We will be creating various book-crafted gifts, including paperback hedgehogs and book-bead bracelets. Craft supplies and snacks are provided. If you have a book lover on your gift list, or have ever considered all the glorious possibilities of crafting with book pages, you will not want to miss this workshop! The Coos Bay Public Library will be hosting a Family Movie Matinee on December 12th at 2:00pm. If you are fans of Kevin, Stuart, Bob, and the rest of their devious little yellow friends, or if you like bananas, come the library’s matinee showing. For more information, call the library at 541-269-1101 or visit coosbaylibrary.org. Programs are free of charge and sponsored by the Friends of the Coos Bay Public Library.
