A 60-year old woman has filed a $719,000 lawsuit against her sister-in-law following an incident in Bandon back in October 2013. Cyon Fielding, who lives in Fossil, OR, filed the suit in Multnomah County Circuit Court in Portland. Fielding was sharing a room with her sister-in-law Shauna Cesaro, of Arizona. Cesaro reportedly went out to see a friend and left her boxer dog with Fielding in the motel room. However, she says it had to go outside and she put a leash on it and took it outside. A small dog walked by causing the boxer to lunge at it pulling Fielding to the ground. She suffered a broken femur that required her to undergo hip-replacement surgery. She also suffered from injuries to her ligaments, tendons, muscles and soft tissue in her hip, neck and head, according to the lawsuit. The suit alleges that Cesaro failed to warn Fielding about the dog’s history of lunging and attacking other dogs.
