MYRTLE CREEK, Ore. – A Myrtle Creek man died in a traffic crash Thursday evening. On February 2, 2023, shortly after 8:30 p.m., 9-1-1 dispatchers received a report of a single vehicle crash in the 1300-block of Dole Road outside of Myrtle Creek. When deputies arrived on scene, they located a red 2005 Ford Explorer which had rolled onto its top. The sole occupant of the vehicle, 22-year-old Conner Jones of Myrtle Creek, was declared deceased at the scene by Fire and EMS personnel. Deputies are continuing to investigate the crash and believe alcohol to be a contributing factor.
