Domestic Assault, Dec. 4

News release CCSO.  On November 30, 2017, deputies and officers from Bandon Police responded to 55231 Rosa Road in Bandon for a report of a male and female fighting in the road. Earlier in the day Bandon Officers had been to the residence twice for similar reports but was no crime was determined to have occurred. The involved parties, Brian Donaldson, 35 years old and Dawn Cassaro, 50 years old of Bandon, refused to cooperate with officers or provide them with any information in the previous calls. At about 4:23 pm when Deputies arrived they noted Dawn had injuries to her hands and face. Dawn requested medical attention and Bay Cities Ambulance responded to assist. After being medically checked out by the ambulance crew, Dawn refused to be transported to the hospital. As the Deputies checked the residence, they noted several items in the home had been destroyed and several doors and walls had fresh blood on them. Dawn refused to say how she got her injuries, but said she was having a bad day. Brian told Deputies they had been arguing all day, but refused to tell them how Dawn or he got injured. Brian had some scratches on his face and a cut to hit head. Brian’s clothes were covered in fresh blood. Deputies spoke with two witnesses who stated they either heard or saw the two fighting. Based on the Deputies’ investigation, Brian Donaldson, 35 years old of Bandon, was arrested for Assault IV Domestic and transported to the Coos County Jail. Brian was booked and held on $10,000.00 bail.
