Domestic Assault, June 13

Olive Barber Rd., CCSO release – On June 9, 2018 at approximately 9:07pm, the Coos County Sheriff’s Office 911 Public Safety Answering Point received a 911 call regarding a domestic dispute. Deputies responded to the residence and discovered a verbal and physical disturbance had occurred. During the investigation it was learned 52-year old Terry Holman, Coos Bay, had been drinking and was intoxicated. When 20-year old Kylee Matheny, also of Coos Bay, would not allow him to hold her son, his grandson, because of his intoxication, Terry began to punch cabinets and become angry, cursing and yelling. It was learned Terry then physically attacked Kylee while she was holding her son, grabbing at the back of her neck, squeezing it and shoving her causing her pain. The one year old child she was holding was reported to be screaming so hard he could barely breathe. By the time the deputies arrived the child had calmed down and was doing good. As a result of the deputies’ investigation, Terry was arrested and transported to Coos County Jail for Assault in the Fourth Degree, where he was booked and lodged without further incident. As of this date he remains in custody with bail set at $10,000.
