News release CCSO. On May 14, 2017 at approximately 6:30 pm, The Coos County Sheriff’s Office, with the assistance of the Myrtle Point Police Department, responded to 1980 Roseburg Road in Myrtle Point to contact a victim of an assault that occurred at 14252 Highway 42. Upon arrival, the victim told a Deputy that she had been assaulted by her brother, Dennis L. Wise. The victim had swelling and abrasions to her face. Sixty-five year old Dennis Wise was located at 14252 Highway 42 and arrested without incident and charged with Domestic Assault IV and Domestic Strangulation. Wise is currently held in the Coos County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail. The victim, a 66 year old female was taken to Coquille Valley Hospital by ambulance.
