News release Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office. On 11/19/2016 at 1533 hours, Coos County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a dispute at the Old General Store in Charleston Oregon. It was reported that a male subject had drug a female into his vehicle by her hair, threatened to kill her and drove off. Deputies were able to locate and stop the vehicle, still in the Charleston area. Contacted was Richard Stewart, 34 years of age from Coos Bay and 30 year old Kimberly Strictland. Mr. Stewart was arrested for Domestic Harassment and Disorderly Conduct II and transported to the Coos County Jail and booked.
