On Thursday, November 10, 2016, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office received a report from a concerned citizen of a possible intoxicated driver at the Kelly’s Korner Chevron located at 5461 Old Highway 99 South in the Green District of Roseburg. Deputies responded and eventually located the driver, Mark Hellenthal age 40 of Roseburg, operating the vehicle. The deputies initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and contacted Hellenthal, who showed signs of impairment. Following an investigation, Hellenthal was arrested for DUII. Hellenthal’s vehicle was searched following the arrest, where deputies located approximately one ounce of methamphetamine. Hellenthal was transported to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office where he was lodged for DUII, Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine and Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine.
