DILLARD, Ore. – Deputies are investigating a fatal crash that occurred Monday night in the 12000-block of Old Highway 99 South. At 11:03 PM, dispatchers received a report of a two vehicle crash with one vehicle on fire. When deputies arrived, they learned a 2004 BMW 32I, operated by 19 year-old Owen A. Sinsaeng of Myrtle Creek, had collided with a 2002 Honda Accord driven by 28 year-old Brianna L. Yates of Winston. The BMW had caught fire and one passenger, 18 year-old Blake M. Smith of Myrtle Creek died at the scene. Yates, Sinsaeng and his two additional passengers, 20 year-old Riddle resident Andrew R. Armenta and 19 year-old Edward A Tellez of Myrtle Creek were transported by ambulance to Mercy Medical Center for treatment. Tellez was later tranferred to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center in Portland for additional care. The crash is still under investigation.
