On Monday, January 22nd, 2018, members of DINT arrested 35 year old Michael Lee Hood of Camas Valley, who was suspected of dealing methamphetamine. DINT detectives contacted Hood in the 100 block of Douglas Blvd in Winston and took him into custody on outstanding warrants for his arrest. Hood was found to be in possession of nearly an ounce of methamphetamine. Hood is alleged to have been trying to sell the methamphetamine to a DINT detective acting in an undercover capacity. Hood was lodged in the Douglas County Jail on charges of Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, and Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine, as well as the two warrants for his arrest which were both for Contempt of Court.
