Within the four walls of Dr Tom Holt Family Dentistry, our entire team is committed to impacting the lives of our patients by helping them stay healthy, happy, and smiling. We care for patients of all ages, from those who haven’t even had a single birthday yet, to folks who have had over a hundred! We are grateful for, and humbled by, the trust placed in us by the families who call our practice home.
But that isn’t all we do.
We are also active members of our community; passionate about improving our community; creating opportunities to celebrate the people who make our little corner of Oregon into a home that we can all be proud of.
This year, we participated in our fifth Veterans’ Stand Down. Stand Down provides services and assistance to veterans, with an emphasis on enabling, and providing for, veterans who have fallen though society’s cracks, and find themselves without homes. These men and women have served our country with honor, and we are proud to be able to serve them in our small way.
We also brought back the I AM… photo shoot and exhibit for the third year. I AM… creates an exciting opportunity for teachers and parents to talk with young people about diversity in a new and meaningful way. The campaign creates conversations around what identity means, who defines it, and what we can do to broaden the acceptance among family, friends, and throughout our community. Students, teachers, parents, and staff from Marshfield High School, Sunset Middle School, and The Lighthouse School shared their stories, and created powerful images, celebrating the traits that make them each unique.
Then we transformed the Coos Art Museum into the I AM… Exhibit. Over 650 community members came together to experience what I AM… means! The evening was a celebration of the hope and optimism that lift us up and propel us forward.
And throughout all this, our community responded! Readers of The World newspaper voted in the annual Best of the South Coast, and Dr Tom Holt Family Dentistry won Best Dentist! We even came in a close second for Best Pediatric Dentist… beaten only by our community’s ACTUAL pediatric dentist, the amazing Dr Heidi Pahls.
So, as we celebrate this season of good will, and head into 2018, Tabitha, Rick, Jill, Kelly, Danielle, Jennifer, and Dr Tom Holt look forward to not only providing excellent dentistry to patients of all ages, but also to impacting our community whenever and however we can; striving to bring a smile to every face we see!
