News release Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office. On Saturday, August 27th 2016 at 9:10 a.m. a Deputy with the Coos County Sheriff’s Office observed a suspicious vehicle parked on Pacific Power property at the intersection of Isthmus Heights Cut Off Road and Isthmus Heights. At the location Deputies contacted three occupants of the vehicle. The operator was identified as Kory Dawson 28 YOA of Coos Bay. The passengers were identified as Frances Paulsen 29 YOA and Lucian Cregor 29 YOA both of Coos Bay. Pursuant to contact at the location Deputies located narcotics with assistance of the Coos Bay Police Department’s drug detection K9 “Katie”. Seized from within the vehicle were multiple bindles of methamphetamine, heroin and drug use paraphernalia. All three were arrested and transported to the Coos County Jail and booked. Kory Dawson and Francis Paulsen were charged with PCS Meth and Heroin and Criminal Trespass II. Both were released on their recognizance, Lucian Cregor was held on a probation violation and also charged with PCS Meth and Heroin and Criminal Trespass II. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Coquille Tribal Police and the Coos Bay Police Department.
