News release from SCINT. February 9th, 2015 Guy David ALLEN plead guilty to Unlawful Delivery of Heroin, Unlawful Possession of Heroin, Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, and Resisting Arrest. In October of 2014, North Bend Police Officer Shane Dunning attempted to contact Guy David Allen at 1823 Monroe Street in North Bend, Oregon. Suspecting Allen may flee; Officer Dunning quickly checked the residence and notified assisting officers. Dunning apprehended Allen during which time Allen resisted law enforcement. Allen was found holding methamphetamine. During a search of the area in which Allen was attempting to hide, there was a box that contained an additional package of methamphetamine, marijuana, narcotic use paraphernalia, packaging materials, and over 10 grams of heroin. Observing the ground and Allen’s hands it appeared Allen may have been attempting to bury the narcotics prior to being apprehended. Continuing the investigation, Officer Dunning obtained a search warrant for Allen’s phone. Assisted by SCINT, a review of Allen’s phone further implicated Allen in drug dealing and corroborated information provided by a citizen. Allen was indicted by a Coos County Grand Jury on charges of Unlawful Delivery of Heroin, Unlawful Possession of Heroin, Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, and Resisting Arrest. After pleading to guilty to all charges, Allen was sentenced per Oregon Sentencing Guidelines to 35 months in jail followed by 36 months post – prison supervision.
