UO release – EUGENE, Ore. — Oregon quarterback Bo Nix is the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week for the third straight week, while defensive back Christian Gonzalez was named the conference’s Defensive Player of the Week for the first time in his career. Nix is just the third player in Pac-12 history to win the offensive award three weeks in a row, joining Khalil Tate (4 straight, 2017) and Rodney Peete (3 straight, 1988). Nix continued to make history with a third straight five-touchdown performance last week in Oregon’s 49-10 win at Colorado, while Gonzalez recorded his first career multi-interception game in his return to his former school. Oregon has won 12 total Pac-12 weekly awards this season, including seven in the last three weeks.
