EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon women’s basketball team has moved up one spot to No. 2 in the Associated Press top-25 poll following blowout wins over UC Riverside and Kansas State last week. The Ducks drew five first-place votes, with UConn taking the No. 1 spot after receiving 19 first-place votes. Pac-12 rivals Oregon State and Stanford came in at No. 3 and No. 5, respectively, with South Carolina at No. 4. Oregon has now been ranked in the top 25 for 46 straight weeks, the eighth-longest active streak in the nation. The Ducks have been inside the top 10 for 45 consecutive polls. The Ducks will enter Pac-12 play at 10-1 after hosting Corban in an exhibition game on Dec. 28. No. 10 UCLA gives the conference four teams in the AP top 10, and Arizona is inside the top 20 as well at No. 18. Oregon will also take on top-ranked UConn in a nonconference game on Feb. 3 in Storrs, Conn.
