News release CBPD. On 2-5-2016 a little before midnight, Coos Bay Police Officers came upon a vehicle that was stopped in the middle of an intersection with a green light. The vehicle eventually proceeded, but only travelled about one block where it ran into a curb going up and over the sidewalk. Officers initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle. A DUI investigation led to the arrest of the driver identified as Brandy Thompson of Coos Bay. Thompson was transported to the Coos County Jail where she was booked for DUI and careless driving, with a B.A.C. of .14%.
