News release from the Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office. On 7-19-15 at 1824 hours the Coos County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a single vehicle injury accident on Andrews Road in Coos Bay. The 911 caller told dispatchers the driver was asking the caller not to notify the police of the accident. Deputies responded to the location and found the operator and sole occupant of the automobile, indentified as Ronald J. Taylor 54 YOA of Coos Bay. The vehicle was a 2002 Ford Taurus. The investigation revealed the automobile had rolled in the 30 mph zone at a high rate of speed. It was learned the operator was Driving While Suspended Misdemeanor. Mr. Taylor was cited for Reckless Driving, DWS Misdemeanor, Driving Uninsured and open container of alcohol. Mr. Taylor was transported to the Bay Area Hospital with a head wound and listed in stable condition. Mr. Taylor will be referred to the Coos County District Attorney for Driving under the Influence of Alcohol.
