DUII Fatal Clackamas Co., Jan. 8

On Friday, January 5, 2018, at approximately 6:40pm, Oregon State Police Troopers and Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a two vehicle crash on SR 551 near milepost 1; which is in the city limits of Wilsonville. The preliminary investigation has determined that a 2001 Ford F350, operated by Kenneth Lloyd PEPPERLING, age 59, of Wilsonville, was traveling southbound on SR 551 when for an unknown reason his vehicle left the roadway. A 1997 Ford Econoline van, operated by Christopher Allen KELLEHER, age 56 and his passenger Gina Rose Marie KELLEHER, age 56, of Wilsonville had just pulled over onto the emergency shoulder. As KELLEHER was exiting his vehicle, he began walking towards the rear of the van when the Ford F350 struck the left rear portion of the Ford Econoline. The passenger, KELLEHER was uninjured in the crash. After colliding with the Ford Econoline, the Ford F350 struck KELLEHER on the shoulder portion of the roadway. KELLEHER was fatally injured as a result of the crash. Alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor of the crash. PEPPERLING was taken into custody for DUII and a Felony DUII Warrant.
