Once again, as football’s annual Super Bowl is upon us, so is one Law Enforcements busiest events. Sunday, February 2nd, 2014, Coos County Sheriff’s Deputies will be joining law enforcement officers from the Southern Oregon Coast DUII Task Force, made up of officers from Coos Bay PD, North Bend PD, Coquille PD, and Florence PD, and many other law enforcement agencies around the state, in patrolling the highways as football fans celebrate the Super Bowl. Law Enforcement Agencies will be sporting extra patrols looking for motor vehicle operators who may have over indulged in spirits and are operating their motor vehicle under the influence. The Coos County Sheriff’s Office is asking all drivers to “don’t drink and drive” if they are going to be celebrating this weekend, use a designated driver if they are going to be imbibing in spirits and traveling the roadways and have a safe weekend.
