News release Newport PD. On Saturday, 08/27/2016, Newport Police Officers responded to a report that a vehicle had pulled out of a parking lot on Bay Blvd, and struck another vehicle in the roadway. The vehicle was being driven by Sherri Dee Wynn, age 52 of Toledo. There were no injuries as a result of the crash, but more than $1,500.00 in damages were sustained. Police Officers made contact with Wynn, who showed signs of impairment. Wynn submitted to field sobriety tests, and was arrested on suspicion of DUII. Wynn refused the breath test, and was taken to Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital. A warrant was secured for a blood test. Wynn was then taken the Lincoln County Jail, where she was charged with DUII, Reckless Driving, and Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree. Bail was set at $45,000.
