Officials with the Oregon Department of Agriculture have been testing Oregon’s Dungeness Crabs at five different sites off the Coast in preparation for the upcoming commercial season.  Inspectors found the crab they pulled the week prior to be full of meat; however, the meat will also be tested for Domoic Acid, a deadly toxin that can appear in crustaceans.  The commercial season normally opens Dec. 1st, if all of the tests show good results between Brookings and Astoria.
