Eastside Safe Routes to School Construction Traffic Control Plan, May 11

The City of Coos Bay has contracted with Knife River Materials to perform construction services for the Safe Routes to School project which extends from Millicoma School (2nd Ave.) to the Isthmus Slough Bridge. The project improvements include storm infrastructure, sidewalks, accessibility ramps, marked crosswalks, and rapid flash beacons. This project will greatly enhance our pedestrian access along this corridor and provide a safer method of travel for our students and the community alike. The below traffic control plan for 6th street will be in place from May 11th – May 29th while the contractor constructs the retaining walls. Please proceed with caution while driving through the construction zone and alert for construction activity.
