News release CBPL. Coos Bay Public Library is teaming up with Dr. Aaron Coyner of Southwestern Oregon Community College to present Science in the Shadows: 2017 Solar Eclipse. Dr. Coyner is a Physics Instructor at SWOCC, and he will be giving a talk about the upcoming total solar eclipse on Wednesday, August 16th, at 7 pm in the Myrtlewood Room. This program is intended for anyone that wants to learn about the upcoming eclipse. A limited number of FREE Eclipse Viewing Glasses will be available for attendees. These viewing glasses can be used during the “Great American Eclipse,” which will take place on August 21st. No registration is required for this program. There is no admission charged.
