With a voter turnout of over 78%, and 18 of 18 precincts reporting in Coos Co., the unofficial final election results for Tuesday, Nov. 8, show Megan Simms defeating Matt Rowe 54% to 45% for County Treasurer. Joe Bennetti (44%) returns as Mayor of Coos Bay defeating the incumbent Crystal Shoji (31%) and challenger Mark Daily (23%). Kathryn Simonette (54%) won Mayor of Coquille, Dean Warner won Mayor of Lakeside (57%), Rick Wetherell (73%) won Mayor North Bend, and Bill Holland (41%) won Mayor of Powers. Winning seats on the Coos Bay City Council were: Stephanie Kilmer (25%), Lucinda Dinovo (17%), and Drew Farmer (13%). City of North Bend Council: Timm Slater (27%), Mike Erbele (26%), and Howard Graham (23%).
