Empire Blvd. traffic switch planned for Wednesday, March 23

Construction on the Empire Blvd. street improvement project will enter a new phase next week. On Wednesday, March 23, one lane of Empire Blvd. will be opened to southbound traffic as construction moves to the opposite side of the street. The northbound lane of Empire Blvd. will be closed between Newmark Ave. and Fulton Ave. Northbound motorists will detour onto Fulton Ave. and Marple St. Flaggers will provide traffic control as necessary. Motorists should watch for construction and detour signs. This schedule is subject to change due to weather and other factors. ODOT will make every effort to notify the public and local media of any changes to the schedule.
