Traffic on So. Empire Blvd. at Wisconsin Ave. will be interrupted Sunday night, Oct. 11, beginning at 9 p.m. and lasting until 2 a.m., according to a news release from the Coos Bay North Bend Water Board. Workers for Knife River Materials will be making a critical new water main connection. Service will be interrupted to a few homes on the 800 block of S. Marple Ave. only. “Water supply to the Barview and Charleston areas will be limited during this time period, and Water Board customers in Barview and Charleston are asked to conserve water as much as possible.” One-way traffic flow on S. Empire Blvd. between Fulton and Wisconsin Ave. will be controlled by flaggers. “All work on the Water Board project is anticipated to be complete by Friday, October 16.”
