Planning meets today in Coquille.  Oregon Home Care Commission in Salem today.  Now that school is back in session, big effort to halt Sextortion by students and others.  Nehalem Scenic Waterway meeting today in Nehalem on the North Coast. Steelhead season opens in Northeast Oregon.  Cougar put down in Dunn Forest west of Corvallis.  Law enforcement seeking help in locating two missing individuals one a female from Eugene in the Drain area and the other a male from Kentucky in the Honeyman State Park area south of Florence.  Death investigation in Josephine Co.  It was a shooting involved a father and son.  CCSO reports an assault and burglary. Apparently a hungry person caught in the USCG cafeteria at Charleston. Dog at large leads to warrant service to its owner.  In sports, still time to signup for boys & girls soccer, or the Prefontaine Run.  We have prep schedules for both NBHS & MHS.  Pirate boys pick up a win over NB in soccer.  Girls play tonight in a Bay Area Rivalry match.  MHS girls fell at Brookings-Harbor.  North Bend volleyball is 2-0 to start the season.  Laker VB picks up a win in Forest Grove.  Oregon State VB hits the road.  And OSU women have a soccer match in Corvallis tonight.  Don’t forget on the main news page, click on publications to access this month’s Coos Co.
