Good Wednesday morning.  Here’s the good news, “abundant” sunshine in the forecast for our area today.  Highs in the mid 60s, clear tonight with lows in the mid 40s, and winds out of the North to Northeast at 10-15 mph, 5-10 mph tonight.  Total employment for the South Coast was up during the month of September according to the Oregon Employment Dept.   It is a Famer’s Market Day downtown Coos Bay.  Just about over for the season.  It is also a WBC Forum Day at the Mill Casino/Hotel/RV Park.  SWOCC Labs on the agenda.  An informational meeting regarding the Elliott State Forest at the Coos History Museum tonight.  Oregon State Marine Board meets in Salem today, we have their agenda.  Veterans are being sought to serve on an Advisory Committee.  Furry Friends at NBPL today.  SWOCC has an informational meeting for those interested in Elementary School teaching.  Building healthy delicious meals program at CBPL tonight, its FREE and an opportunity to get away from those fast food establishments and quick unhealthy meals!   Push is on to get more Oregonians to get their flu shots.  Oregon Heritage Grant applications now available.  On the police logs, criminal mischief, burglaries, probable cause arrest and criminal trespass.  In sports, prep booster clubs meet today.  Prep volleyball results from last night, Marshfield won and is in a playoff tonight in Florence.  Prep schedules for today for both NBHS & MHS.  Prep soccer results for NBHS from last night. SWOCC soccer in action today, men at home.  Pac-12 football honors hit UO & OSU.  Oregon’s upcoming football games hitting the tube and we’ve got the dates and times.  Have a good Wednesday, the sunny weather always brings a smile to one’s face.  Thank you for reading.   Matt
