Airport District is looking for a good pest removal person.  RFPs requested.  Work continues on the Central Oregon Coast on the “World’s Shortest River.”   A Central Coast law agency is raising funds for a K9 Unit.  CCSO is in the running for a grant to support their K9s.  You can vote online.  Oregon Child Abuse Hotline has a first year report.  Pedestrian fatal near Junction City. It is a homicide case at Newport.  Local area prep booster clubs meet today at noon.  Prep schedules for both MHS & NBHS.  Final 4A prep football poll released, Pirates are in Top 10.  NBHS drops its final VB match of the regular season  Marshfield VB now knows who they will play in the 4A playoffs.  Lots of Halloween events scheduled for Thursday that are safe and enjoyable.  Charleston has its trunk trick or treaters.  Schools and churches have their programs, and the Coos Bay Downtown Assn. is promoting fun at their businesses.  Otherwise, drive cautiously in the neighborhoods.  Law enforcement says they will be very visible on Halloween night.  Well let’s have a great Wednesday.  Thank you for reading.        Matt
