Good Monday morning and a special salute to all of our Veteran’s out there on this Veteran’s Day, Nov. 11, 2019. Thank you for your military service and special thanks to the many families who supported you. There are some Veteran’s Day activities around the state. Locally, no mail today, banks closed, no school, a three-day weekend for most. Sunshine, highs in the 60s, sounds like a nice Fall day along the South Oregon Coast. Winds out of the North at 5-10 mph. Cloudy skies tonight with lows in the mid 40s, light and variable winds. Little cooler on Tuesday. 3 p.m. is the Veteran’s Day celebration at the State Capitol today. Free admission in Portland to the Oregon Historical Society’s exhibits today, that includes the last day of the Fab Four display. USCG has a Veteran’s Day recognition at Port Angeles today. We have the latest on the Flu in Oregon. North Bend School District is seeking volunteers for their Budget Committee. BLM takes out North Spit docks. Bald Eagle killed in Douglas Co.
