Good Tuesday morning. Welcome back to a short week. Beautiful Veteran’s Day around the State of Oregon. Got to like those flyovers by the Oregon Air National Guard out of Portland and Klamath Falls. Our weather not as great today as yesterday or Sunday. Little more clouds, little cooler, winds still light and variable, but highs in the upper 50s and lows in the lower 40s. It is a local government meeting day. North Bend will combine their work session Monday into their City Council Tuesday session. Discussion on Planning Fee appeal. During the Council session they plan to honor State Rep. Caddy McKeown with a League of Oregon City’s award. Coos Bay City Council also meets tonight, but with the URA and at the Fire Hall. They’ll be talking about the Fourth St. Improvement Project. Coos Bay School Board has a regular session and an Executive Session. Coos Bay Planning Commission meets at City Hall. School District asking for a variance on the height of their new Junior High building. Armchair Adventure today at CBPL. Route 66 is featured. Police log shows warrant arrest in Douglas Co. Report on bridges in Oregon shows one in Coos County spiking the old meter. Volunteers are trying to restore the Oregon Dunes, but it is a big task and they are eyeballing the North Spit for some work. In sports, prep schedules for both NBHS & MHS. Kind of light in between seasons, but middle school basketball is underway. Pac-12 women’s basketball last night good for the Oregon schools. And, the Seahawks get another overtime win. Have a great Tuesday and thank you for reading. I was surprised by how many read yesterday’s news on a holiday. I always do that, put the news out on the holidays as well. People want to know what’s going on around them, and I am happy to help that effort. Thank you again, and feel free to share with others who like local news. Matt
