Good Thursday morning to you.  Happy Thanksgiving.  Can you believe it is already that time of year?  Wow.  Hopefully you have a nice day with friends and family planned.  If not, the Salvation Army in Empire is having a special Thanksgiving meal today, noon to 2 p.m.  And, Shore Acres kicks off the Holidays with the start of their lights show tonight.  Dress warmly.  There will be hot cider available.  Of course, not too much is open today since it is a holiday, but you will finds some stores if you need to get away for a short while.  Some residents in the Crescent Area are still without power.  A community Thanksgiving Dinner is being offered at the Del Norte Co. Fairgrounds.  Kid’s HOPE Center has achieved a milestone. If you are expecting some holiday packages on your doorstep, we have some tips on how to prevent them from being stolen.  Four males arrested in Southern Oregon on murder and arson charges.  Nation’s only heavy duty icebreaker spending Thanksgiving on the water.  Grants available for veteran and war memorials.  Aquatic invasive species check stations remain open in Oregon.  Fatal on Hwy.
