Good Friday morning.  Okay, let’s get it out of the way, “Friday the 13th.”  Well, we’ve already had that earlier this year and it didn’t really seem to matter.  So, hope for the best again today.  But, do watch out for a black cat, mirrors that might break, and the numbers 7 & 13.  Then again, some think it’s a good time to put a couple of bucks down on the lottery or at their favorite gambling hole.  Of course, with the Holidays, I think “Friday the 13th” will be forgotten quickly.  Not too many days left until Christmas.  Don’t forget the Holiday Lights at Shore Acres.  Boy, the waves out there were booming yesterday.  Wow, what a show at the Ocean’s Edge.  The Mighty Wurlitzer at the Egyptian Theatre in Coos Bay sings on Saturday at noon.  Great show!  Today is kicking off with the BACC’s annual economic forum at the Mill Hotel.  Great business social atmosphere event.  We have the agenda.  Want to see a Foreign Film?  Head to CBPL today.  Silver Falls has its big annual Christmas event this weekend.  South Coast Striders have a hike at Blossom Gulch this weekend.  Film Noir Sunday at CBPL is a good one.  ODFW shutting down salmon angling on the North Coast, looking to see if the problem is spreading south.  Emergency generators awarded to communities in time for the Winter Storm Season.   Burglars and an attempt to elude in Roseburg.  Child sexual abuse charges in Camas Valley.  Attempted parking lot robbery on Central Coast.  More on that missing JC teen, an adult in Idaho is now under arrest.  In sports, prep schedules for the weekend.  Lots of wrestling and swimming in North Bend.  SWOCC basketball out of town.  Pac-12 basketball has the Ducks and Beavers in action, some of it on TV.  Seahawks head to the East Coast on Sunday.  Hope you have a great weekend and thank you for reading.    Matt
