Good Tuesday morning to you.  Christmas Eve has arrived.  Are you ready?  Well, you are most likely ahead of me.  It will be an interesting day.   Some clouds and light rain by afternoon in the forecast.  Highs in the 40s and lows in the upper 30s.  Winds out of the South to Southeast 5-10 mph.  Looks similar on Christmas Day.  Not much in the news, kind of gets that way this time of year.  Coos County Master Gardeners are signing up individuals for their popular program.  Port had a rail anniversary recently.  As OSU looks into a research forest, and speculation about the Elliott State Forest continues, we have a couple of reports on Forests from OSU.  Douglas Co. law enforcement has a standoff in Tiller.   Report out of Douglas Co. on how the PIT Maneuver worked on stopping a vehicle.  Local Police logs show warrant and DUII arrests.  Not much in sports, right after Christmas it picks up.  In a hurry for Marshfield.  Hope you have a  great Christmas Eve.  I’ll be back tomorrow with Christmas Day news.  Thank you for reading, and our best to you this Holiday Season.    Matt
