This local news brief is brought to you by Southwest Oregon Regional Airport www.flyoth.com with air service from North Bend to San Francisco.

Good Tuesday morning.  Rain in the forecast, today, tonight and tomorrow.  Highs in the low 50s and overnight lows in the 40s.  Winds out of the South at 10-20 mph.  Coos Bay City Council meets tonight.  Jordan Cove on the agenda.  Expect a big turnout!  Did you already take a look at this month’s Coos County Cops tabloid?  If not, just go to the webpage with the rest of the news, and click on “Publications.”  Good to keep up on who are the bad people, what kinds of crimes are being committed in the Bay Area, and in what neighborhoods.  Couple of regional traffic reports, one on Hwy. 101 North Coast and the other on Hwy. 126W between Florence and Eugene.  Oregon Board of Forestry subcommittee on Federal Forests meets today in Salem.  The BLM is sending firefighters from the Pacific Northwest to Australia.  Coos Bay School District has a budget committee vacancy.  Girl Scout cookies are hitting the streets.  They have a new lemon cookie.  That sounds good.  I’m in for a box. Time to sign up for the Bread & Grain workshop at OSU  Extension in Myrtle Pt.  Fatal on Hwy. 11.  DUII accident Lakeside.  Homeowner does it right!  Held two burglars at gunpoint until a deputy arrived.  Another DUII report from CCSO.  Police logs show warrant arrests, trespassers, probation violation, DUII, assault, burglary, hit & run, dispute, prowler and disorderly.  In sports, prep schedules for both NBHS & MHS.  Both have basketball away tonight.  Also, Bulldog swim results from Lebanon. Hope you have a great Tuesday and thank you for reading.       .  Matt
