Good Monday morning!  Got it right!  How was your Super Bowl Day?  Fun game to watch.  I sent the February issue of “Coos County Cops” to Allan over the weekend.  Hopefully he had time to post it.  Just click on “Visit Website” below and then “Publications.”  You should see all of the past “Coos County Cops” issues as well as the current February 2020.  I have been asked about publishing CCC, and I feel it is an opportunity to put a face/name on crime in our community.  Too many times a crime happens and then it fades from the public’s eye.  Our community has a right to know who is committing the crimes, what kind of crimes and where.  CCC is an attempt to help law enforcement in that effort and hopefully spark a community to help deter future criminal acts.  We absolutely support the efforts of our Police agencies and the men and women who wear the uniforms to protect us.  Thank you for your support and input.  To the news – It will be a Cold day along the South Coast, highs in the upper 40s and showers in the forecast.  Winds out of the North to Northeast at 5-10 mph.  Partly cloudy tonight with lows in the lower 30s.  How’s that for kicking off the first full week of the month of February 2020?  In our news, U.S. Attorney for Oregon chimes on Enforcement of Tribal Protection Orders.  New federal ruling involving immigrants does not impact Oregon according to state officials. We have the latest on the Flu in Oregon.  North Bend Parks Advisory Board meets this afternoon. Bond Oversight Committee for CBSD meets today.  Oregon Arts Commission has Operating Support Grants.  ODOT has a fish passage exemption request before ODFW.  BLM has maps and GIS Data now online.  Land acquisition in Oregon will protect a species of Butterflies.  A quake at the Southern Junction early today.  Time to signup for Hunter Education or Field Day. She bilked Weyco of over $4 million dollars.  Wow!  ODFW monitoring cougar activity in The Dalles.  I-5 fatal Marion Co.  Crashed into a house on the Central Coast.  CBPD looking for dispatchers.  Safety Belt Enforcement Blitz begins today by CBPD.  Police logs show counterfeit money, warrant arrests, burglary & disorderly.  In sports, prep schedules for the week for both MHS & NBHS.  Marshfield had two unbeaten wrestlers at Gold Beach Saturday.  Prep basketball was good for the Bay Area girl’s teams, not so good for the boys over the weekend.  SWOCC basketball gets a split at home. Good Saturday for the Duck & Beaver women.  Not so good for the men’s teams.  Civil War for the men this week.  Hope you have a good Monday on this Second Month of the New Year.  Already!  Have a great day and thank you for reading.          Matt
