Good Thursday morning.  Showers in the forecast, then a steady light rain throughout the afternoon.  Highs in the upper 40s and overnight lows in the upper 30s.  Winds out of the South to Southeast at 5-10 mph.  Light and variable tonight.  Some more clouds and rain on Valentine’s Day (and, Oregon’s Birthday).  In our news, agricultural commodity commissions have vacancies and several impact the Oregon Coast.  We have the list.  A report on the Oregon National Guard unit in Texas preparing for a “Peace Keeping” mission to Kosovo.  It’s a pretty detailed report on their training and what’s ahead.  Pacific Power issues their annual concern before Valentine’s Day about wayward balloons. Trask Hatchery on the North Coast remains closed during construction, but access to the popular river is still available.  Oregon’s Car Care Program and a Central Coast Law Enforcement Agency.  CBPD reports five impaired drivers arrested in January.  On the CBPD logs, transient who locked himself into a restroom is arrested after several hours.  And, a probation violation arrest.  In sports, Prep schedules for both NBHS & MHS.  Weekly boy’s basketball poll only has one South Coast team listed.  SWOCC basketball gets a split at home last night.  And, the Ducks and Beavers in Pac-12 men’s basketball action tonight in the Willamette Valley.  Hope you have a good Thursday and stay warm.  Thank you for reading.  Matt
