This local news brief is brought to you by Southwest Oregon Regional Airport www.flyoth.com with air service from North Bend to San Francisco.

Good Wednesday morning!  We’re “Back in the Saddle Again!”  Well, never was out of the saddle, just sat in it while it hung on the fence post and the horse with no name was out grazing in the Desert for a couple of days.  Or something like that.  Allan fixed the Configuration problem, so the website has the news again.  Just click on “visit website” below to get all of the news.  Blue, sunny skies today with highs near 60.  Winds out of the East to Southeast at 5-10 mph. Clear tonight, clouds forming late, but lows in the mid 30s again.  Lots of clouds on Thursday.  Shots for Tots today and it is important as this is the State’s Exclusion Day from school for students who lack the proper immunization records. Tragic loss in the Bay Area early Monday morning when a 16-year old MHS student died due to Influenza B at BAH.  We do have the latest report on the Flu in Oregon from State Health Officials. WBC Forum features Coos Co. Sheriff Craig Zanni.  Street work in Coos Bay today could impact your travel plans.  Work on the Eastside Sanitary Station scheduled for Friday, that will also impact traffic.  Groundbreaking today in the Empire District for a multi-family unit aimed at helping just a little, in the rental market.  Bridge work on Hwy. 38 could also disrupt travelers to and from the Valley.  There is also a guardrail project on I-5 that motorist are being made aware of.  Committee for Family Forestlands meets today in Salem.  Conversations with funders and partners going on around the state. They’ll be in Coos Bay Feb. 28.  State Parks Commission in Forest Grove for two-days.  Police logs have probation violation, trespassing, shoplifter and DUII.  In sports, prep schedules for both MHS & NBHS.  The two school’s booster clubs meet today.  In prep basketball last night, Bulldogs fall on the road, but Pirates win at home.  SWOCC on the road today to Albany.   Thank you for you patience the last two days while we “configured” the problem.  Well, I didn’t do much but alert Allan, he did the rest, thankfully.  Have a good day and thank you for reading.  Matt
