Newmark Rd., CCSO release – On October 14th, 2018 at 0929 hours, a Deputy observed a woman walking on Newmark Road, Coos Bay, Coos County, Oregon. As the Deputy passed the her it was obvious she was attempting to hide her face. The Deputy contacted the female and recognized her as 25-year old Brianna Huntley, North Bend. While the Deputy was checking Brianna through the state and national database, Brianna began running away from the Deputy on foot. The Coos County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center advised the Deputy that Brianna had multiple warrants out for her arrest. A foot pursuit began and the Deputy yelled out that she was under arrest. Brianna chose to continue to run from the Deputy. As the Deputy and Brianna were nearing Mckay’s, a citizen grabbed Brianna. Brianna was taken into custody without further incident. A North Bend Police Officer arrived on scene. During a cursory search and while Brianna was in handcuffs, Brianna attempted to run again but was grabbed by the Deputy. Brianna was transported by the North Bend Police Officer back to the Deputy’s vehicle. Brianna was then transported to the Coos County Jail without further incident. Brianna was booked for two separate warrants and an additional charge of Escape in the Third Degree. One of the warrants charged two counts of Failure to Appear in the Second Degree. The other warrant charged Criminal Trespass in the First degree and Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree. Brianna’s bail was set at $42,500.00. This arrest was made with the assistance of the North Bend Police Department and a Coos County Citizen.
