Expect delays for rock scaling work on U.S. 101 south of Port Orford, Dec. 2

Expect 20-minute delays south of Port Orford as rock scaling operations are focused around the Humbug Mountain area (milepost 306-309) on U.S. Highway 101 (Oregon Coast Highway). Flaggers are providing traffic control from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The work is expected to be completed by Friday, Dec. 5. During rock scaling, the ODOT maintenance crew will temporarily close U.S. 101 to clean loose rock off the highway. Drive with caution and watch for workers and equipment the highway.
