Fast Summer for some, not long enough for others. Ready or not, here comes the Fall High School Sports Season. Yes, it is still too warm to call it a true Fall, but practice for prep sports in September, October & November begins today, Monday, Aug. 19th, with practices beginning for Football, Volleyball, Cross Country, Soccer, Cheer & Band. North Bend’s football team will compete in the Cottage Grove Jamboree on Aug. 30. The Bulldog volleyball team will open at home on Aug. 29 against Siuslaw. Marshfield’s football team will compete at the Siuslaw Jamboree Aug. 30, while the Lady Pirate volleyball team will host a jamboree Aug. 29 with Brookings-Harbor, Coquille, Cottage Grove & Reedsport.
