North Bend City Employee Killed
At approximately 9:30 this morning, Thursday, March 14, North Bend Police and Fire received a call regarding an injury sustained at a work site at Ferry Road Park in North Bend. Upon arrival on the scene the first responders discovered that a city employee, Phil Bowman had suffered a traumatic injury when he was struck by the gate of a dump truck. The employee was transported to Bay Area Hospital by ambulance where he subsequently passed away as a result of his injuries. The City asks that the community keep Mr. Bowman’s family in their prayers during this time of grief.
