Deputies have made an arrest in connection with the fatal hit and run accident that killed Benjamin Wohl and seriously injured Breauna Ellison. On September 5th, at about 9:10 p.m., deputies arrested Walker Thomas Kellog, age 25 of Winchester Bay. Kellogg was arrested at the Shilo Inn in Newport with the assistance of the Newport Police Department. Danielle Elizabeth Gockel-Figge, age 24, was also present at the Shilo Inn was cited for Hindering Prosecution. Gockel-Figge was a passenger in the Polaris at the time of the crash. Kellogg was lodged in the Douglas County Jail on Second Degree Manslaughter, Second Degree Assault and Felony Hit and Run charges. Case still under investigation, more information will be provided when available.
