On Friday, November 13, 2020 at approximately 7:53 A.M., Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to a crash on Hwy 20 near milepost 25. Preliminary investigation revealed a Honda Prelude, operated by Kenith Laster III (27) of Eugene, was westbound when it lost control, traveled into the eastbound lanes, and collided with a Ford F-350 pickup operated by Mitch Carter (30) of Sweet Home. Laster sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased. Carter was transported by private vehicle to the hospital.
