One person was killed in a morning fire Tuesday, Dec. 16, at the Norway Rentals apartments at 54343 Old Hwy. 42, in Norway, half-way between Myrtle Point and Coquille. The name of the victim has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin. Firefighters from both Coquille and Myrtle Point started arriving shortly after 8 a.m. Fire officials estimated the damage at $150,000. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
