On July 10, 2017 at approximately 6:50pm, the Oregon State Police responded to a single vehicle fatal crash on Highway 138 near milepost 9, in Douglas County. The initial investigation has determined that a 2007 Chevrolet SUV was westbound on Hwy 138 when, for unknown reasons, it left the roadway, striking a power pole. The vehicle then rolled several times, ejecting the operator, who was the only occupant. The operator was not wearing a seat belt. The operator, 53-year-old Bonnie L. DEBRAGA, from Roseburg, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Oregon State Police was assisted by Bay Cities Paramedics, Glide Rural Fire, and the Oregon Department of Transportation. Pacific Power responded and replaced the power pole.
