On Wednesday June 27, 2018 at approximately 7:06 PM, Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to the report of a two vehicle crash on Highway 221 near MP 13. Preliminary investigation revealed that a maroon 2004 Ford F350 operated by Zachary FRISBEE, age 27, from McMinnville was traveling southbound on Hwy 221 when for unknown reasons traveled into the northbound lane hitting a, 2002 Pontiac operated by Judith KIRBY, age 55, from Dayton, head on. KIRBY was pronounced deceased at the scene. FRISBEE was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. Hwy 221 was closed for about 5 ½ hours following the crash.
